Simon for PJTV and PJ Media, here at the Reagan Library on the eve of the second Republican Presidential Debate, where we had Rand Paul and Ben Carson radically disagreeing on the controversial subject of Iran. What would you do about the Iran deal upon assuming the presidency? – Well, recognize that, because it was done as an executive agreement,

it really doesn't hold any sway once the president leaves office.

– Senator Paul, serious question. On the first day of a Paul presidency, how would you deal with the Iran deal? – You know, I think a lot of people have said, oh, they would chop it up, they would cut it up, do all this. I think, really, I would look to see whether Iran is complying. The agreement itself, if Iran were to comply and if Iran were to adhere to only using nuclear enrichment for peaceful purposes, would actually be good. The main reason I've been against the agreement is that I fear that they have been dishonest in the past and that we don't have leverage to try to get them to correct path, should they go in the wrong direction. But I think, if anyone says, "Oh, I'm gonna cut it up without looking "and seeing whether they're complying," I think that's also a mistake. (soft rock music) – This is Roger L.
